A Precious Water Living Fossil

Kaluga, an animal that seems to be very rare and unfamiliar to most of the people as it's habitat is more dispersed along the main streams of river and coastal region in China.

Maybe we do not know that why such a normal and rough appearance animal is listed as "China Class One Animals " since 1970s. Let us drive back to our history on 140 million years ago, as it was thought to live at the same time with the extinct dinosaur. In line with that, people had called this firm life animal as "living fossil". Anyway, due to progressive development , high demand on meal and hugely hunting by human, their population had extremely reduced to a crisis and critical level and now has been grouped as endangered species.Hence, its up to our wisdom either to breed and ensure their long existence to our next generation or mark an eternal full stop to them.
