"Merdeka!Merdeka!Merdeka!"53 years ago we achieved independent after we claimed our mandate from Britain. 53 years later, how much have my country developed and changed! Once upon a time, we were the largest cocoa and rubber production ! Once upon a time, we had the most prosperous harbour which prompted cargo ships around the world to accumulate.Once upon a time, we were the dazzling star in sport arena. Once upon a time, we were the largest tin production and other rich natural resources which enticed outer foreigners to encroach us.Once upon a time we had been granted that we would had equality and a serene life Once upon a time.........There were too many great and wonderful time which now left as histories and memories for us .
Today my beautiful and nation is celebrating its 53th birthday since it independence from the ruling of Britain and undergo different phrase of growth. I am really glad and pleasure to live and birth in such a conducive and wonderful land as god has spare us from a lot of unnecessarily devastating natural disaster. Besides that, there are also plenty of enrich natural resources like petroleum, natural gases, tin and gold waiting for us to well exploit and develop. Even the world biggest flower Rafflesia , other unique flora and fauna are found and grew in our rich tropical forest. Unfortunately, my beautiful country had utterly being exploited and abused by undemocratic, corruption and obnoxious government for their own interest in so many years where their people were living a hot soup condition and poverty life. Hence, it is really a big mockery and shame for Malaysian as why we are still in a state of developing country and far leaving behind others despite with such favourable condition.
Nowadays, even our neighbouring Asia country like Japan, South Korean and China have far exceed us and emerge as a strong and rigid economic body. Do you know why such inconceivable and absurd things can happen? Why that our economic body and competitiveness regardless of racial are still situated in a weak rail where a lot of bumiputera or known as native are still living in a jungle life and poverty in rampant? Oh, poor people, even the basic necessities include clean water supply and electricity, daily commodities, transportation , next generation's education and a comfortable home are so far and unreachable dreams especially for Sarawakians and Sabahans. Currently, our main pillar like economic, followed by judiciary and human right mechanism, education decaying , public safety and etc were eroded and rusting and it was closely linked to our graft, embezzlement, bias and poor administration of undemocratic government .
To date, the living standard, education, quality of transportation, science and technology, medical research and facilities of people are still at the bottom of valley although our government especially during the tenure of Tun Dr Mahathir had widely pursed and urged their people to learn and took example from "Look East Policy". But today, Japan and South Korean had already far surpassing us and reach advanced improvement in their technology, living standard and other aspect. Looks like we really need to look to East and humbly learn from Japanese by toppling our BN government like what they had done.
About 40 years ago, 30% quota shares policy granted for bumiputera in order to consolidate their competitiveness in this limited economic cakes had been implemented. Ironically for all Malaysian , 4 decades had passed and in fact, why are natives and even other racial in Malaysia are still far leaving behind and lack of competitiveness while the step of Vision 2020 is approaching. Was that caused by flaw and deviation in management in 30% quota policy or bias in implementation? Obviously, we can't renege that this is a severely failure long term policy would only continue to feed up the and enriching the pockets of cronies, high income bumiputera and their partisan while the poorer groups continue to become poorest. Nevertheless, it is extremely sorrowful and desperate to say that the preliminary purpose of BN government to preserve 30% quota is futile! In fact, corruption, poverty and crime rates that are in rampant are tarnishing our images! This was the truth behind our 40 years 's hallowed and unchallengeable 30% quota policy.
Oh my utmost supreme and holy 30% quota! Anyone who questioned or good willing recommendation on you will be ended up with alleged causing racial nervous and tension which led to custody with ISA and seditious act or facing harsh attack from extremist PERKASA and conservative UMNO! In fact, a gradual repealing on 30% quota would not be a menaced to Malay and native status or extremist racial remarks from non Malay but PERKASA was the main culprit behind racial pandering and disharmony. Furthermore, even BN 's coalition party MCA , their past effort to demand on gradually revoking of this quota had caused a large rebound from old conservative mindset or radicals in both UMNO and even Pakatan Rakyat. In fact, all bumiputera especially the low and middle income groups should provided adequate training and filled themselves with knowledge, careers and fund aids to help them transform into specialize skilled workers in various sectors that are imperative in driving our economic instead of continue providing fishes to them. This would also mitigated our reliance on foreign workers and reduce unnecessary social problems. Only this, a health and fair competing environment among racial will be achieved by bringing more foreign and private investment without causing any nervous and discord. Once again at here ,I am strongly reiterate, reaffirm, emphasize and warn all parties do not ever attempt to twist my amicable meaning or playing own heroism which will causing disharmony and tension in racial . However, a proper manner on gradually revoking of 30% quota share was essential in order to escalate, emulate and drive our economy to another summit. A small step in 30 % quota will push us a big step in escalating economy.
In the past 10th Malaysia plan that nice to look but hard to swallow is even worse than the previous plan , 30% quota shares are still remained by Najib in order to assure old conservative parties. Undoubtedly, this expose that our P.M is in aberration with his One Malaysia slogan that he greatly lauded and slap his own face. In actual fact, how much had non Malay in both rural and urban area were really benefited from this plan? Anyway, I am still a bit comfort as we still have not be marginalize with a slim fund of one hundred million allocated to a total of 280 thousand households in Chinese new village for land title extension and loan purposes. Oh, another late coming spring that are long eager and keen by our villagers. Anyhow, it is encourage that BN government should allocate more funds and care for the livelihood of people living in new village rather instead of consecutively corruption as it was our tax payer's money. This include comprehensively providing estate and plantation owner with funds, advance harvesting and planting technology, good quality of seed and and drainage system, fully utilize of land for mass planting of crops and fruits that have high marketing value to export to foreign country and fully elevate facilities in village.
In line with that, a massive amount of up to126.5 billion injected by Najib used to transform our economy was still unsure whether it could bearing fruits or not as there were too many Little Napoleon, nepotism and bureaucratic manner in our government management including civil servant as the previous New Economic Policy was a very good outcome for us. Apart from that , sectors like financial and marketing, industrial and development and construction sector that are leading our economic train should adopted a more open policy by creating a more conducive and favourable environment for foreign investors and potential entrepreneur to come to our country. Undoubtedly , this will certainly bringing a new vitality power and providing more job opportunities for all Malaysian to take part in driving our economic. In the meantime, private sector should encourage to work in close joint with companies that are currently100% under bumiputera management in sector like agricultural, logging, fisheries, petroleum, natural gas and fossil fuel by providing appropriate funds and loans. This include recruiting more local human resources including bumiputera by ensuring their welfare and wages are taking into account instead of using foreign workers. Companies that are100 % under bumiputera management should open for more non Malays to take part into their shares, investment, daily management and administration in order to create a more wide-broad and potential business path. A more flexible, transparency and open policy instead of hollow talk should immediately pump in to expand our limiting economic cake as only a courageous and proactive measures being taken can break our current economic deadlock and also fully eradicate poverty for us to transform into a develop and high income country.
On the other hand, judiciary and human right crisis are another ugly and disgrace scene that we have ever display in the eye of world despite freedom has always proudly emphasize and mention in this country. One day, Malaysian students are having their exchange and interacting program with other foreign students. Every students from their own nation are actively taking part in the program until the turn of Malaysia students. First of all, students from Hong Kong have their inquiry ," Polices and Federal Reserve Units in which country are utilize to stifle its own people".This is follow by Britain students with " People in which country who are having their peaceful demonstration and candlelight vigil are rudely arrest and cope with water cannon and tears bomb?". Later, another student from United States is asking " Police in which country are busy fortifying in front of state assembly building and senseless drag a legal speaker out of the state assembly rather than focus in combating and reducing crime rates. " I am very embarrassing and sorry to tell that all of this inglorious feats are dramatically happening in Malaysia.
People are starting losing their confidence in our bias judiciary system as the court's sovereignty are being doubted and verdicts are not neutral and independent while some are even infiltrate by unknown political forces. Inevitably, the bad image and blemish of courts are certainly close relate to our current BN government. This include scandal of lawyer V.K Lingan and Anwar Inbrahim's sodomy cases, but they have forgot that we are the actual judges to them. In the mean time, consecutively stripping and repression of basic human right and freedom in Malaysia do no make any difference with the current military governments that practice dictatorship and autocracy.
Symbolize freedom that resembles a bird without its wing or keep in a cage are no longer eager and keen by people. In Malaysia, inhuman acts like ISA, printing ,press and publication act or seditious act have turned into best amulet by our government in these years. We are not a puppet for these acts. Why that even our basic rights to speech, blogging, publishing and congregate are overwhelming and strictly confine by these acts.We are so envy and admire of the people living in foreign country like Hong Kong, Australia, United States and other European countries where their people can have their mass demonstrations at streets, peaceful rally and protest against government policy and other freedom activities. I am really in a quandary that how come peaceful assembly in my nation are consider as illegal and threaten the safety of public since the permits of police are so unreachable for us. After all, how much freedom and basic rights have entitle to us, lets probe in detail.
In year 2009,a new record of massive rally where a total of 20,000 people across the country were unanimously united together and occupied the streets of Kuala Lumpur capital while a nationwide of candlelight vigil and peaceful assembly in all states in the next year had staged and previewed in front of Malaysian and foreign press. Among of them were soft wrist students, teenagers, children, old folk and even pregnant women! Are they too leisure or irrationals at the moment of facing tear bombs and water cannon crazily fired by heinous polices and FRU? Absolutely no! All of them persist and move forward with only one consensus goal-repealing of brutality ISA and struggle for freedom. I am here to pay my utmost respect and tribute to these hero compare to our high prestige and status ministers . In the last stifling move, police had successfully arrested and detained a total of 625 innocence citizens compared to Operasi Lalang during the tenure of Tun Mahathir. Well done, a splendid feat by Najib for he had far exceed our former P.M in repressing its people! Is this what we should even though we pay our eternal loyalty and love to our country?
Despite that, press are also facing the destiny of infiltrate and manipulate by political forces.Government control television "front window" has self censor the broadcast of Sarawak Bakum dam, Penan and Rawang high voltage cable project. Moreover, the worst of the the worst are the producer involved are all being suspended and kicked out from the door! This are too over and provoking, are they trying to camouflage the truth from people or there are chain scandal involving big fish? Other than that, NTV 7 management programme "Editor Time" has come to halt and the best debating platform for people to get known to our country progression had been eliminated and it was revealed that due to interference by Datin Rosmah .The most frustrating and aggravates Malaysian was the forum on Sibu by-election had interchange with a sport issue! This is absurd and ridiculous as even a little demand by us have come to the end of tunnel as we want to know the unresolved people livelihood and development in Sibu in these years. Anyhow, I pay my utmost tribute and salute to Joshua Wong for his persistence and principal in championing the independent of press. Moreover, do you ever heard about radio hosts that bring joy and jubilant daily to audience are allege threatening the safety of our country and causing racial disharmony by ending up with vacation along with other staff.
Say no to "One Silent Malaysia"! Its time to awake all press workers and journalists! Please do not be dumb and burying your conscience and enthusiasm in media! Instead take a look at BBC, a government funded but independent operated media had gain respected and recognising around the world. Hence, we need to adopt zero tolerance against any political parties and social organization who wish to take control or pressure on media for their own agenda and interests. It is never too late to champion our right and press neutrality before we follow the footstep of Myanmar,China and North Korean. In the earlier time, our minister Dato Seri Rais Yatim even threatened to establish a "Green Wall" to filter and monitor our IT network! This is the most naive , ignorant and ludicrous thing that I have ever heard from the mouth of a minister after China and will only let the world mock and jeer at us. Apart from that, I am also strictly urge our government to utterly repealing University And University College Act 1971 and stop any pretense and comical amendment, this include allowing undergraduate to take part in politics and restore back Student Union(Perikatan Pelajar) in before that can play a role in varsity administration but not MPP (Majlis Merwakilan Pelajar) that resembles a famine tiger without its claw and fang. I hope that they don't pretend to be death as we want reclaim back our spirit of freedom and autonomy in varsities.
While the rest, I will let our people to judge base on their wisdom as there are too many scandals that can take a long period to write. Anyway, even with the erection of "Green Wall" will not impeding my spirit to write and speech for I will continue with both my hand and an immortal heart as I hope more Joshua Wong can step forward and the incident of Teoh Beng Hock will be the last . At the end,I wish all Malaysian happy national day, justice and fairness prevail and tremendous changes can happen in my country
