Political Parties In Malaysia
DAP was originally Malaysia branch of Singapore Action Party. In early 1995, because of dispute due to Islamic criminal law and to avoid the accusation of having same conspiracy with PAS, it choose to withdraw.Since the party ever take part in General Election in 1969, it remain as the largest opposition party except 1999 election.
Party Keadilan Rakyat
Although the party was announced in 2003 in Kuala Lumpur, it only got its registration after severely setback in 2004 election due to delay of ROS. On 2nd September 2004, Anwar Ibrahim sodomy conviction was overturned in a decision by Federal court and he was freed. After all, he had successfully merged with DAP and PAS by writing out a glorious page in Malaysia political history after 2008 election.
Pan-Malaysia Islamic Party 1956
An Islamic political party and continued active as opposition party since independent, but in early 1973 till the end of 1977, it had once allied with UMNO after riots in 513 inspired by Malay People's Congress.Its mainly forces were concentrate to Peninsula east cost Kelantan, northen Terengganu and Kedah, Perlis four state include its long term rigid ford Kelantan.
Sarawak National Party 1961
Its founding chairman Stephen Kalong Nikan was the first Sarawak Chief 's Minister since independent. In the end of 1966, it became opposition party after the step down of Kalong Nikan due to intervention of Federal Government national machine. It reentry in 1976 and expelled by BN till 2004. On April 2010, it officially joined in Pakatan Rakyat coalition.
Malaysia 's People Party (Party Rakyat Malaysia) 1955
The party founnder was in joint by Ishak Muhammad and Dr Burhanuddin Al-Helmy followed by Ahmad Boestamam after he released from jail. The party glorious success was in 1961 local municipal election where it won 14 out of 15 seats in council. In August 2003, the final resolution on General Assembly after intense internal debate was to merge with Party Keadilan Rakyat. Anyway, some of the old member was still trying to keep the original registration.
Party Socialist Malaysia 1998
A socialist political party in Malaysia , its registration had been denied by the Federal Government for alleged bringing threat to Nation until Home Ministry gave out green light in 2008. As of November 2009, the party had one seat in Parliament under the banner of Party Keadilan Rakyat.
Human Right Party 2009
Formed in 2009 and led by human right activist P.Uthayakumar . The main struggle of HRP is against all form of racist bias and racial discrimination by the current ruing government -UMNO
Party Cinta Malaysia 2009
Its member include various cross over member either from BN or Pakatan Rakyat include former Gerakan vice president Huan Cheng Yuan and Sarawak state assemblyman Gabriel Adit Demong. Hence it often referred to "Frog Party" by blogger and politicians.

Barisan National 1973
Formed in 1973 and as a ruling party since Malaysia independent. BN hold several seats in Malaysia but delivered a severe political blow and tsunami in 2008 General Election where the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur had overtook by DAP. The vast majority of BN seat was hold by UMNO,MCA and MIC.
United Malays National Organisation(UMNO)1946
The main party founder was Datuk Onn Jaafar. Over the years of ruling, it is now still the most influencing party in the coalition where majority minister, deputy prime minister ,deputy prime minister and minister originated from this party. UMNO main party ideology was "Ketuanan Melayu-Malay Master". After the implementation of "New Economic Policy" in 1970 years, its party political assets and business had rapidly grew which results in rampant of political money till today.
Malaysia Chinese Association(MCA) 1949
Its party main founder was Tan Cheng Lock.Although it is a Chinese community representation party which strive for the welfare of Chinese, it had always lambasted and and encountered the challenged from DAP for bent their knees under the dominance power of UMNO and undergo several nationwide power struggling and crisis inside the party since its creation.

Its party creator was JohnA.Thivy. In October 1954, the party turned in to join MCA and UMNO and continus to be one of the govern party till today.
People Progressive Party(PPP) 1956
It was formerly known as Perak Progressive Party and established in 1953, Ipoh, Perak. However, after it joined BN in 1972, its impact had greatly reduced due to struggling among each other and no contribution at all, hence there are no allocation of any seats until the end of 2004 G.E where Kayveas was given the opportunity and managed to win Taiping parliament seats.
Sarawak United People Party(SUPP) 1959First legally political party in Sarawak. It's party members were majority Chinese, but also gain numerous supports from Iban. Was still a component of BN till today, but its power and influenced was greatly reduced compared to past.

Sarawak People Party(Party Rakyat Sarawak)
The party is one of the ruling coalition front in Sarawak. It was founded to replace Sarawak National Party that quit in December 2003.

Party founder was pro-UMNO Kelantan State Minister Mohamad Nasir that expelled at the end of 1977. Although initial selection to corporate with UMNO, but refused to join with BN. Later rejoin with BN and once again quited from BN in 1989, participated with 46 spirit of party and main Islamic party as Muslim Unity Front. However, after the 1999 G.E ,the party was not knowledged.

The party had once been a strong and powerful party, but having chasm in opinion with British during the struggle for independence with UMNO. on 1948 ,Malaya had proclaimed state of emergency followed by the struggle and tussle with Parti Komunis Malaysia. Since the incident, it's heavyweight leaders had arrested and the party was unsustainable.
